Volkswagen launches Touareg with new design, technology and maximum power
Volkswagen has redefined luxury with the arrival of its new Touareg, to New Zealand. Offering new high-tech features and improved design, the premium vehicle has launched with three variants - the V6, V6S R-Line and, the most powerful Volkswagen ever, the Touareg R Plug‑in Hybrid.

Chanelle says the introduction of the plug-in hybrid to the Touareg range is part of the brand's wider road map to become net carbon-neutral by 2050.

Building on the impressive power of the V6 and V6S R-Line variants, the Touareg R Plug‑in Hybrid seamlessly merges high-performance and sustainable driving capabilities. With a combined system output of 340kW as well as torque of 700 Nm, it is the most powerful Volkswagen ever, all while delivering a touch of refined luxury that's beyond ordinary.
All three variants include class-leading safety systems and unmistakable Volkswagen design. Distinctive features include the LED tail light clusters (standard across the range) which have been designed as a light strip and feature an illuminated Volkswagen logo. In addition, enhanced running gear systems ensure optimum comfort and maximum performance.
The interior promises a spacious, comfortable, and luxurious experience. Premium leather seats are equipped with ventilated cooling seats with 30-colour ambient lighting, exclusive to R-Line and R PHEV, creating an atmosphere unique to you.
