We are delighted to announce New Zealand pricing, model line-up and key specifications for the all‑new ID.4 and ID.5. Whether you opt for the pure SUV body shape of the ID.4 or the ultra-aerodynamic silhouette coupé design of ID.5, your next Volkswagen is truly electrified.
We believe our model line-up positions us extremely well within the EV market segment. To launch the ID. product range with our mid-sized ID.4 SUV below the New Zealand government clean car rebate threshold of $80,000 was imperative. We believe this will be very important in helping to support our customers that choose to transition to an electrified Volkswagen,” says Greg Leet, General Manager, Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles.
To celebrate the much anticipated arrival of the ID. vehicles, Volkswagen is inviting anyone in Auckland between Wednesday 21 September and Tuesday 4 October to their Volkswagen ID. experience at the pop-up ‘Car Store’ on Level 1 in Westfield Newmarket, to view and possibly take a test drive before their arrival in the country next year. Additional ‘sneak peek’ opportunities to view an ID.4 outside of Auckland will be available via a national roadshow. Contact your local Volkswagen dealership for further information.
Our team has been working extremely hard with our factory and are absolutely delighted to be in a position to release this key information today, which is a milestone moment for our brand. We are very fortunate to be in this position, as New Zealand will be one of the first countries outside of Europe and the USA to launch the ID. range.
ID.4, priced from $79,990 drive-away*, will be available in two trim lines; ID.4 PRO and ID.4 PRO+ both with a 77kWh (Net) battery and approximate range of 485km** (combined WLTP). Other main features include150kW of power and 310Nm of torque (and ‘instant power’), aerodynamic 19 inch ‘Hamar’ alloy wheels, 10 inch colour touch-screen and an ID. exclusive “Twist & Go” ignition function.
In addition to the main features of PRO, the ID.4 PRO+ also includes ‘IQ. Light’ Matrix LED headlights with front LED light bar, 12 inch ‘Discover Max’ colour touch-screen and Premium sound system.
ID.5, priced from $85,490 plus ORC*, also in two trim lines; ID.5 PRO and ID.5 PRO+ with an approximate range of 485km*. The ID.5 exclusive silhouette (coupé merged with an SUV) has been given a sporty exterior treatment with two-tone colours and inside features the 12 inch ‘Discover Max’ colour touch-screen (standard on PRO & PRO+) and Premium sound system (exclusive to PRO+). The ID.5 PRO+ also features ID. exclusive 20” ‘Drammen’ alloys.
