Carly’s road trip adventures began almost 20 years ago in her beloved 1972 teal blue Kombi ‘Cyril’. “I promised in our wedding vows I’d always continue to go on adventures in the VW for life” - Carly Flynn
With the Grand California, I happily drove it all over Auckland, on the motorway and in the suburbs, and then north to our destination and with three precious kids in tow. The All-wheel Drive system was great on the gravel roads.

“The solar panels meant we could explore off the grid while still enjoying the all luxuries of the campervan.” It’s exceptionally handsome vehicle that attracts the interest of many in the campground, who, just like when we were in the old 1972, have no hesitation in coming over for a chat, for a look, for a reminisce about the good old days.
Settling in for the night is made easy with the touch screen control pad and ambient lighting. I find it incredibly special that you can recreate these memories a few decades on, with the same amount of style, but with much grander comfort.
